Fishbeck is seeking full-time Technicians to join our Civil Field team. The primary duties of this position include field observation and documentation of construction contractors' activities for conformance with contract requirements. Applicant must be willing to travel and work in an outdoor environment. This is a great opportunity to get experience on a variety of projects and develop a career in field inspection.

Essential Functions

• Prepare thorough inspector's daily reports (IDRs) detailing the status of the work, including verification of work completed, item postings and materials associations, and jobsite conditions. Work with office technicians on proper IDR procedures and submit IDRs in a timely manner.
• Complete and submit required calculations, sketches, and applicable forms, including but not limited to, Inspectors Daily Report of Concrete Placed, Permit to Place, Inspector's Daily Record of Contract Removal Items, Minimum Wage Rate Interview, Mobility Report, Jobsite Poster Checklist, and Drilled Shaft Inspection Report forms.
• Verify and document that construction adheres to contract requirements. Communicate with appropriate senior staff on issues of non-compliance.
• Assist with Requests for Information.
• Serve as liaison between the contractor and senior technician or engineer to resolve constructability issues or questions.
• Communicate, as needed and appropriate, with project team and stakeholders including project engineer, senior technician, testing technicians, survey staff, contractors, business owners, and residents.
• Work closely with senior technicians and engineers to verify and document proper execution of project designs.

Minimum Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and sit as needed on project sites. Ability to drive a motor vehicle to reach work sites; ability to maneuver project sites with uneven terrain. Ability to read printed materials and a computer screen; and hearing and speech to communicate. Desired Education

Associates degree or equivalent experience.

Desired Degree

Associates degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, Concrete Technology, or similar, or, equivalent experience.
