SUMMARY OF POSITION : Knowledge and ability to perform safety inspection services with general knowledge related to heavy duty and light duty trucks. This may include gasoline, diesel and CNG Systems.

Essential Job Functions :

• Responsible for updating and entering work orders / repair orders.
• Computer proficiency.
• DVIR tracking and compliance.
• Communicates with technicians on every job to ensure it is accurately entered and updated in Dossier.
• Aids / assists drivers in completing the daily post-trip and vehicle safety inspection process.
• Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment during safety lane and PMs.
• Communicates with A & B technicians / drivers regarding vehicle issues and discusses preventative techniques to minimize future repairs.
• Completes all required paperwork and computer data entry.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards, including sweeping, organizing, and maintaining the safety lane area.
• Maintains high standards of ethics and dependability.
• Follows all safety policies and procedures.
• Occasionally assists with route observations to ensure safety procedures are followed, completes reports, discusses observations with drivers, and reviews safety issues, customer calls, route cleanliness, and truck appearance. Identifies training needs and reviews them with drivers. Maintains safety equipment and supplies in the vehicle.

CDL Required : No CDL required.
