Kev’s Kars in Kenner, LA is currently seeking a full-time Service Advisor to assist with handling our mechanical customer’s needs. Responsibilities
- Meet and greet mechanical customers promptly and make them feel comfortable
- Listen to customer concerns and needs and help them prioritize
- Obtain and enter all customer and vehicle information into electronic customer work order; clearly document all vehicle symptoms and needs as requested by the customer; obtain customer authorization for repair
- Identify, document and recommend any needed maintenance based on age, mileage, and history of the vehicle
- Prepare a thorough and accurate estimate for repairs or maintenance and communicate effectively to the customer
- Quote repairs and maintenance as needed over the phone
- Document customer approval on all repairs and order parts as needed
- Assign work to mechanical techs as needed to enable good workflow through the shop; monitor the progress of the job through the shop
- Communicate effectively and work well with techs to ensure a thorough and accurate repair
- Update customer on progress of vehicle repair timely and efficiently
- Prepare invoice for delivery of vehicle and verify invoice matches quote given to customer; communicate final invoice charges to customer for delivery prep and arrange for car wash if appropriate
- Assist with back up telephone answering as needed
- Assist front office customers as needed
- Assist Body Shop with mechanical work needing to be performed
Requirements

Salary plus commission (Based on experience)
