R&D Technical Direction

R&D Technical Direction position located in Everett, Washington, United States. This is a permanent, full-time position requiring a Bachelor's Degree and more than 8 years of experience. The annual salary range is $150,530 - $236,540. This position is an ITAR Controlled position.

Job Description

This is a technical leadership role. The Director of Engineering is responsible for the day-to-day execution of engineering projects and deliverables including schedules and budgets. The Director of Engineering is also responsible for the technical content of the engineering deliverables. The Director of Engineering has the authority to implement appropriate organization structure to accomplish statement of work, onboard and train personnel as required to improve / maintain skill base, and obtain required tools and equipment for the department.

Job Requirements

The Director of Engineering should have a four (4) year technical degree in an appropriate engineering field and experience leading teams is required. Additional training in leadership, management, business administration, program management and risk management is preferred. Fifteen or more years of broad technical experience, with at least ten of those years being in the aerospace industry is desired. Travel will be required periodically to both domestic and international locations in support of customer meetings, design reviews and / or marketing campaigns. Skills / Abilities : deep practical engineering knowledge, strong leader and team-builder, good oral and written communication skills, technical coach with the ability to inspire and empower employees, dedication to customer satisfaction, ability to execute a quality product in a schedule driven environment, high integrity - trustworthy.
