We are seeking a Director of Engineering to lead our Cortex LLM Platform team, a critical component of Snowflake's AI strategy. This platform underpins all AI products that use LLMs, including Snowflake Intelligence, AISQL, REST API, and other customer-facing solutions. The role involves managing engineering teams that develop high-performance and scalable services, integrating expertise in AI systems, service deployment, and data infrastructure.

In this role at Snowflake, you will :

• Set the strategic vision for the team and drive accountability for plans and deliverables
• Hire, develop, and mentor talented senior technical leaders
• Drive team projects from ideation through implementation with partner teams
• Translate product requirements into engineering initiatives and coordinate cross-functionally

• Lead organizational structure evolution and improve engineering efficiency

Additionally, this role is eligible to participate in Snowflake's bonus and equity plan. The successful candidate's starting salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. This role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes : medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance; 401(k) retirement plan; flexible spending & health savings account; at least 12 paid holidays; paid time off; parental leave; employee assistance program; and other company benefits.
