Responsibilities

• Lead SageMaker's next‑generation distributed training systems for AI models.
• Drive innovation in model customization capabilities, focusing on advanced techniques such as reinforcement learning and model distillation.
• Spearhead the development of optimized training engines that create significant price‑performance advantages for customers, enabling them to train larger models more efficiently.
• Build and scale training applications and tools that simplify the AI development process while maintaining Amazon's high standards for performance and reliability.
• Provide strategic vision and technical leadership to align engineering teams with AWS AI / ML business goals.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $264,100 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $350,000 / year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and / or other benefits.
