This is a critical junior-to-mid level role that combines essential End-User Customer Support with core IT Operations functions in a formal, financial / banking work environment.

Location : 1200 Senate Street, Ste 200, Columbia, SC 29201 Employment Type : Contract to Hire (3-6 Months with FTE possibility)
Schedule : 100% Onsite (5 days / week) Key Responsibilities As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for : IT End-User Support : Providing professional, in-person technical assistance for all staff regarding Microsoft Windows 10 / 11, Microsoft Office Suite, and local / network printing issues.
Connectivity & A / V : Diagnosing and resolving issues related to office wired / wireless networks and ensuring seamless audio / visual connectivity in conference rooms.
IT Operations & Asset Management : Performing essential operational tasks, including imaging and building new computer hardware / laptops, and assisting with IT asset inventory management.
Security & Documentation : Assisting the team with information security audit research and proactively contributing to updates for team process and procedure documentation.
Service Delivery : Tracking all support and operations work meticulously using the established Help Desk Ticketing System (ITSM).
Vendor Coordination : Serving as a liaison and coordination point for third-party IT vendors.
Minimum Basic Qualifications (2 Years Required) Candidates must possess a minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in an IT support role, preferably in a corporate or government setting, with expertise in the following areas : Providing dedicated IT End-User Support.
Troubleshooting and supporting Microsoft Windows 10 and 11.
Support and troubleshooting for the Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with Hardware / Laptop Support and maintenance.
Proficiency in PC Imaging / Building new devices.
Supporting local and network Printer Support.
Preferred Qualifications (Skills That Set You Apart) The following experience and certifications are a significant plus : A+ Certification (or equivalent certification).
Experience with End-User Network Support.
Direct experience with Information Security Exposure or audit procedures.
Prior On-site / In-person IT Support experience.
Experience supporting users on Microsoft Teams.
Familiarity with Asset Management principles and tools.
Prior experience using a Help Desk Ticketing System (ITSM).
Background in banking, finance, legal, judicial, or accounting environments.
Important Job Occupations & Requirements Candidate MUST be a South Carolina resident or willing to relocate to SC prior to starting the role at their own expense.
Work Schedule Note : This is an ON-SITE position (5 days / week) located in Columbia, SC.
Occasional weekend work (typically 1-2 hours on varied Saturdays / Sundays) may be required to assist with system update testing, which is often performed remotely.
