Material Handler (Mid-Shift) Entry Level
Coordinate the flow of material into and through various manufacturing departments in order to maximize customer satisfaction by achieving on-time and superior quality shipments. Mid shift is : 11am - 7 : 30pm M-F.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Pull parts for various production and assembly areas from storage towers
- Assist and support direct labor co-workers to assure efficient and timely processing of production requirements through production work centers
- Expedite required information or material by contacting Purchasing or other departments as required or directed by Supervisor
- Run mobile equipment including forklift when needed to move or accumulate material required for production
- Inform supervision daily of problems that may delay on-time production scheduling
- Receive production orders
- Load storage towers with incoming parts
- Compile production needs from work week schedules, priorities and information from other clerks, and finalize backlog of work behind each work center in assigned department
- Expedite material required for production to work centers
- Cycle count inventory; maintain proper inventory levels on specified items; maintain status reports on specified production parts
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area and perform all assignments in a safe manner and in accordance with established quality procedures
Education and Experience :
Required : High school diploma or certificate equivalencyPreferred : Prior work experience in a production or industrial environmentKnowledge, Skills, Abilities, Characteristics, etc. Required :
Clerical skills including PC experienceBasic reading and writing proficiencyAbility to climb and perform work on a ladderAbility to multitaskCommitment to company Core ValuesValuable But Not Required :
