Job description

SMART is actively recruiting for EM PEDS locum physicians for coverage in Memphis, TN. Coverage is needed as soon as credentialed

Need : approximately 10 shifts / month

Facility informatio

  • Specialty : Pediatric Emergency Medicine
  • Board requirement (years of eligibility defined by facility) : Peds EM board or EM and Gens PEDs dual board preferred; Peds with 3 years Peds emergency experience accepted

Board requirement (Example EM, FM, IM) : ABP, AOBP, ABP-PEM, ABEM, AOBEM

Life Support Certifications Required : ACLS, BLS, PALS, ATLS

  • COVID vaccine / exemption required? Yes

    • LOCUM COVERAGE ASSESSMENT

  • Reason for Locum need? Open Shifts
  • How many shifts per month in Locum Coverage will help stabilize the program? 10 shifts per month
  • Is the Locum Coverage needed short-term (3-6 months) or long-term (6+ months)? Long Term
  • Is the Locum Coverage needed for a specific shift type : All Shifts
  • Temp / Emergency Privileges granted? Yes with clean files and an active license
  • Start Date : ASAP

  • Annual Patient Volume : 24k
  • Patients per Hour : 2-2.5 pts per hour
  • ED Bed Count : 10 expanded to 14
  • Shift Times / Coverage Details : 12 hour shifts - 630a / 630p and 630p- 630 a
  • APC Hours of Coverage : 20
  • Scribe Coverage : No
  • EMR : EPIC
  • Admitting Orders : No
  • Trauma Center Designation : None
