We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team for Street, Road, Highway, and Heavy Civil Construction. Responsible for developing cost estimates for large heavy civil projects involving earthwork and underground utilities.
Responsibilities
- Experience with developing accurate & reliable estimates for earthwork projects
- Provide high-level scoping of the project to create estimate summaries and outsourcing control worksheets
- Ability to understand plans & specifications to determine project requirements
- Ability to do takeoffs and project modeling to create detailed proposals
- Knowledge of construction & estimating software
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record and respectable employment history
- Required to have 1 Foreman's meeting per week to review current Schedule, RFIs, Change Orders, and Issues (Via Zoom or in person)
- Communicate with the Foreman daily to ensure the Foreman has all the information and answers to all questions that arise
- Manage cost codes to ensure all tracking is up-to-date and accurate (if applicable to your projects)
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Heavy Civil Estimator or similar role for 5+ yearsIn-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and equipmentMust be familiar with all Microsoft Office programs and bidding softwareStrong understanding of OSHA regulations and safety protocolsMust have excellent leadership skills, be a strong communicator, and have a "take ownership" attitudeMust be willing to travel up to 50% of your timeExperience with construction management software such as PROCORE, and Bluebeam a plusThis position offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience.
