The Senior Financial Analyst at Delta Community Credit Union plays a strategic role in driving financial insight, forecasting, and decision support for executive leadership. This position is responsible for leading complex financial modeling, high-impact analysis, and enterprise-wide initiatives to enhance financial performance, support growth, and improve operational efficiency. The ideal candidate combines deep analytical expertise with strong business acumen and communication skills to influence decision-making at the highest levels.

Essential Functions :

  • Strategic Financial Modeling & Analysis :

o Lead the design, development, and refinement of advanced financial models to support multi-year planning, stress testing, capital allocation, and new product initiatives.

o Apply sophisticated modeling techniques including Monte Carlo simulation, regression analysis, economic value-added (EVA), and credit loss forecasting methodologies (e.g., PD / LGD / EL).

o Serve as a subject matter expert for assumptions and macroeconomic variable integration in forecasting models.

  • Enterprise Reporting & Insight Delivery :
  • o Synthesize large datasets and develop dashboards or visualizations (Tableau, Power BI) to monitor KPIs, identify financial trends, and evaluate strategic initiatives.

    o Deliver monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports to senior leaders with interpretation of results and actionable recommendations.

    o Partner with Accounting, Treasury, Lending, and FP&A to align forecasts with regulatory and operational plans.

  • Leadership & Collaboration :
  • o Lead cross-functional project teams supporting initiatives such as loan portfolio strategy, margin improvement, and capital planning.

    o Support executive presentations, Board-level analysis, and strategic planning efforts with high-quality financial insights.

  • Operational & Efficiency Enhancements :
  • o Evaluate business processes and resource allocations through ROI, NPV, and cost-benefit modeling.

    o Identify opportunities for performance improvement, automation, and process redesign across departments.

    Job Qualifications Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

    Required Minimum Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in financial modeling and analysis, with demonstrated leadership in model development
  • Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including VBA and advanced financial modeling
  • Experience with financial data query and analysis using SQL and data visualization tools such as Strategy (previously MicroStrategy), Tableau, or Power BI
  • Understanding of data lineage, data cataloging, and metadata management in support of reliable reporting and analysis
  • Familiarity with financial models such as CECL, ALM, capital planning and stress testing, sensitivity analyses, and budget / forecast
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills with a track record of presenting to senior stakeholders
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead initiatives independently
  • Complies with all Credit Union policies and procedures including those related to Bank Secrecy Act regulations
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
  • Related Certifications such as, but not limited to FMVA, CPA, or CFA
  • Experience with data governance, data stewardship practices, and articulating data quality requirements, particularly for financial and regulatory reporting
  • Experience with machine learning use cases in finance, such as predictive modeling for churn, profitability, or credit risk
  • Ability to translate complex analytical findings into actionable business recommendations for senior leadership and Board audiences
  • Financial services or credit union experience
