Language Skills : Ability to read and understand business correspondence as it relates to the job function, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from Sinclair personnel.
Mathematical Skills : ability to work with basic mathematical concepts.
Reasoning Ability : Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Physical Demands : While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, talk, and listen. The employee frequently is required to walk and carry product. The employee must be able to ascend and descend stairs while carrying a load of 10 pounds. Employee will use hands and fingers to feel, squeeze, grip product and tools. The employee is required to push / pull and reach above shoulders. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities : As the first level of assembly a level 1 assembler will focus on building simpler repetitive jobs until they develop the required measuring and problem-solving skills. Assembler 1 will have the following responsibilities and any other duties that may be assigned.
A. Keep station clean and organized.
B. Check pick list with the components that you have and log qty. and lot # or IR #.
C. Make sure the traveler is signed off from previous process.
D. Check and make sure that you have all the materials that you need to complete this traveler, drawings, furnace process, in-process sheet and assembly drawings.
E. Do a 1st article and submit it to QC.
F. When 1st article is approved you may start running the fixtures through the furnace.
G. If your 1st article is not approved see your supervisor.
H. Do two in-processes a day unless told otherwise by your supervisor. The first fixtures out in the morning and the first fixture out after lunch.
I. Make sure all the travelers are signed off for any processes that the assemblers have done.
J. Verify counts going to the next process.
K. Make sure all unused components and fixtures are returned to the Inventory or placed on the shelf if it is only a partial.
L. Keep records.
M. End of the day
