Responsibilities Work in a busy Emergency Department at a Level 1 Trauma Center Night shift schedule : three 12-hour shifts per week, 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM Every other weekend required (two weekends per month) Floating is mandatory and may include floating within a 50-mile radius to other units or facilities as needed Team-based model used if floated outside primary area of competency No block scheduling or special scheduling requests allowed Charting is completed using Cerner EMR system Scrub color required : Navy Blue (not provided) Must be willing and able to float to any facility or unit within the designated radius, possibly with only 2 hours' notice Strict compliance and documentation deadlines must be met, including lab work within 72 hours of assignment acceptance Maximum of 5 days requested time off allowed, with no more than 2 consecutive days; no RTO on weekends, holidays, or days adjacent to holidays will be approved Failure to comply with floating, time off, or holiday coverage rules may result in contract cancellation Requirements Active IL RN license in hand at the time of consideration (no pending licensure accepted) Minimum 2 years of recent acute care Emergency Department experience required Current certifications required : Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required (booster not required) Must live within a 75-mile radius to be considered as a local candidate Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-640120.
