Ruby On Rails Developer

This role is part of our client's Platform Engineering team, specifically within the User Trust squad. The team supports legal, compliance, risk, security, operations, and customer experience. They're looking for a backend software engineer strong in Ruby, with at least 8+ years in that specific language.

The User Trust squad makes sure users and regulators trust our client's systems. They own the integration of KYC controls, provide backend tools to help Operations manage compliance, risk, and fraud. They provide user-facing security features across all applications.

We currently have 1 software engineer at Stride, working on another project.

8-10+ years of engineering experience

Strong Rails experience (or strong generalist with recent Rails exposure)

Ability to contribute to system design discussions (arrows and boxes, not intense modeling)

Able to perform in pair programming interviews

Strong communication and ability to articulate technical decisions

OAuth / Authentication experience

Financial services experience

Familiarity with Java (not required, but helpful for interacting with other systems)

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $80.00 / hr.
