As a Volunteer Coordinator You will :
Develop and manage volunteer training and orientation programsRecruit, educate, and select volunteers through multiple annual sessionsAssess patient and family needs to match appropriate volunteer servicesSupervise, support, and evaluate volunteers regularlyReview and update the volunteer program as neededOrganize volunteer support and education meetingsParticipate in interdisciplinary team meetingsPromote hospice volunteer services to individuals and community groupsAssist with budget planning for volunteer program developmentEnsure compliance with all legal and regulatory standardsBenefits and Perks for You!

College degree, advanced degree in Human Services or related field preferredMinimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare settingExperience in hospice care and / or volunteer coordination strongly preferredUnderstanding of hospice philosophy and principles of compassionate end-of-life careAbility to recruit, organize, and support volunteer personnel within a hospice or healthcare environment
