Mechanical Engineer IV

Onsite 3 days per week in Sunnyvale, CA or NYC

MUST HAVES :

• Extremely proficient with NX CAD with prior experience working with complex ID surfaces
• Ability to deliver strong technical communication verbally, in written and presentation form as needed
• Previous experience working on consumer electronics
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering required

NICE TO HAVES :

• Experience working for a major West Coast consumer electronics company and familiarity with related product cycles
• Experience working on soft goods or textiles
• Experience with mechanical test and inspection equipment such as Instron, microscopes, OMM, temperature and humidity chambers
• Experience with prototyping equipment such as 3DP, laser cutter, heating elements, adhesives dispense / activation, soldering

Day to day : Expedient delivery of 3D and 2D in a PLM environment is the sole responsibility of this role.

Summary :

The primary responsibility of a mechanical engineer in this role is to assist team members with creating and documenting 3D and 2D designs within a PLM environment. The engineer may also support hands-on tasks such as rapid prototyping, fixture development, and mechanical testing

Backfill for CW who left earlier than expected to help team get through key program milestones

Job Responsibilities :

Expedient delivery of 3D and 2D in a PLM environment

3 days in-office and lab work in NYC to include prototype assembly and rework, fixture development, and mechanical testing

Support hands-on tasks such as rapid prototyping, fixture development, and mechanical testing

• Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $75.00 / hr.
