Technical/Functional Skills •Administration of the Citrix VDI environment Experience Required8 + Roles & Responsibilities •Responsible for the administration of the Citrix VDI environment to ensure high levels of availability, performance and security for the SPE enterprise. The individual also participates in the planning and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the system provisioning and maintenance is consistent with SPE goals, and industry best practices •Duties include the operation and performance tuning of the VDI infrastructure, managing issues, and the planning and management of enterprise-wide virtualization initiatives. Administration of users, profiles and licenses within the Citrix environment. Analyze incidents, diagnose and resolve issues with Citrix VDI which includes but not limited to hung sessions, connectivity, performance and latency. Apply upgrades and service packs to Citrix environment and business applications. Collaborated with engineers, application owners and system owners in the testing of Citrix programs and interoperability with the SPE environment. Generic Managerial Skills •Need to have excellent communication skills (including English conversation skills), demonstrate excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills. •Ability to work independently and resolve complex technical issues and identify root cause and recommend solutions to help resolve incidents quickly. •Ability to multi-task and complete multiple parallel assignments while working in an interrupt driven environment. •Take the initiative to act on and own issues. •Prior exposure to onsite-offshore working model
