Phlebotomist
Job Description
Join a dedicated healthcare team as a Phlebotomist, where precision, professionalism, and patient care are key. This role requires strong experience in specimen collection, handling, and processing, along with excellent communication and organizational skills. Familiarity with OSHA and DEP regulations and a commitment to maintaining specimen integrity are essential.
Responsibilities
Perform venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures (e.g., urine, fecal) with accuracy and care.
Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens according to test requirements.
Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes and verify accuracy.
Package and store specimens following temperature and transport protocols.
Update patient information and maintain accurate records.
Troubleshoot workflow issues and recommend improvements.
Answer phone inquiries and relay lab results as needed.
Attend annual department training and comply with safety regulations.
Essential Skills
Phlebotomy certification required (e.g., CPT, NHA).
Minimum of 1–2 years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
Proficiency in using straight and butterfly needles.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Familiarity with EMR systems and lab requisition processes.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00 / hr.
