Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated Project & Commissioning Engineer, Navy Automation (m / f / d) to join our team. In this role, you will participate in the engineering, delivery, and commissioning of naval automation projects, acting as a technical contact for customers and internal stakeholders. The position combines engineering tasks, project coordination, and hands-on commissioning including occasional international assignments.
Key Responsibilities

- Contribute to engineering tasks including drawings, documentation, database work, and software customization
\n
Act as technical point of contact for customers and internal stakeholders on project-related topics\n
Participate in project meetings, design reviews, integration activities, and FATs (including overseas, if required)\n
Facilitate technical solutions together with the project team and product management, and advise on design changes with potential cost impacts\n
Perform commissioning, testing, and trials of naval automation products, both in-house and on-site worldwide\n
Support ILS documentation and ensure compliance with customer and internal quality and security procedures\n
Assist colleagues in resolving technical issues, safeguard confidentiality in naval projects, and contribute to a positive team environment\n \n
Key Requirements
\n \n
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, Electronic, or Software Engineering (or related field, also suitable for recent graduates)\n
Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal\n
General knowledge of cybersecurity, networks, and OT communication protocols (e.g., MODBUS RTU / TCP, CANBUS, IEC61162)\n
Familiarity with IEC 61131-3 programming languages and design tools such as AutoCAD, Eplan, or SolidWorks\n
Understanding of platform equipment functionality (valves, pumps, switchgear) is an advantage\n
Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and organizational skills\n
Motivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as part of a team\n
Willingness to travel internationally for commissioning and project support\n \n
