The BRM - Commercial IT Operations is responsible for managing relationships between the Commercial IT Technology lead and the Commercial business operations leader. The role ensures that IT solutions align with business needs and support commercial activities in addition to cross functional activities in Billing, Supply, Pricing, and Finance. This role will also liaise with the integration efforts to provide a single view of the entire IT roadmap.

Essential Responsibilities :

  • Act as the primary liaison between IT and Commercial Business Leadership.
  • Identify and understand business needs and translate them into IT requirements.
  • Manage IT projects to ensure alignment with business objectives and value delivery.
  • Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and manage their expectations.
  • Monitor IT service delivery to ensure it meets business needs.
  • Take part in Integration efforts and provide strategic advice on projects.

Leadership :

  • Collaborate with the Commercial Technology leader and peers to achieve strategic goals.
  • Cultivate a culture of teamwork, continuous improvement, and responsibility.
  • Provide direction and support to team members to enhance their professional growth.
  • Technical Expertise :

  • Deep understanding of business relationship management and IT service management.
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and solutions.
  • Knowledge of IT project management principles.
  • Business Acumen :

  • Strong business insight in the areas of deregulated power and gas commercial markets across various ISO's such as Ercot, PJM, NEPOOL, NYISO, MISO and business process knowledge on sales, pricing, contracting, commissions, forecasting, and billing with the ability to align IT strategies to business goals.
  • Capability to analyze and improve business processes.
  • Proficiency in managing stakeholder relationships and expectations.

  • Meticulous with strong analytical abilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Education : Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Energy Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred. Relevant certifications in IT service management, project management, or business relationship management (e.g., ITIL, PMP, BRMP) are preferred.
  • Years of Experience : 7 years of experience in business relationship management or a related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Nice to have skills : Application development experience in the .NET / SQL space.
  • Job Overview :

    This position guides teams in the execution of agile initiatives to deliver customer value. Employees in this role train and coach in the use of Scrum, Lean, Kanban, XP, and scale agile framework practices.

    Job Duties & Responsibilities :

  • Trains and coaches leaders, teams, Product Owners, and Scrum Masters in Lean-Agile practices and mindset
  • Contributes in Communities of Practice (CoP), within the agile network
  • Promotes and encourages collaboration and transparency and builds trusting relationships between business, delivery, and other entities within the organization
  • Facilitates periodic synchronization meetings across several different onsite and distributed delivery teams
  • Prepares program and release backlogs, as well as team and program objectives
  • Tracks, promotes, and publishes completed program features and program and team objectives
  • Manages risk and dependencies, communicates and escalates impediments to facilitate transparency, and reduces bottlenecks
  • Embraces a continuous improvement mindset, and drives the use of agile engineering best practices and innovation
  • Reports on standardized program-level metrics, and understands, tracks, and operates within the program budget
  • Plays an instrumental role in the organization's Agile transformation, acts as a change agent, and shows strong leadership skills with a positive and collaborative attitude

  • Required Qualifications :

  • High School Grad / GED
  • Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
  • Experience : 8+ years
  • Supervisor / Management Experience : 2+ years
