We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Food Safety Technician to join our Food Safety & Quality Assurance team at our fresh produce cold storage and repack facility in McAllen, TX.
This role plays a critical part in protecting product integrity, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining the highest standards of food safety throughout daily operations.

Key Responsibilities
Conduct routine Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) inspections throughout the facility
Monitor and document sanitation activities and compliance standards
Assist with the Environmental Monitoring Program (EMP) , including swabbing procedures
Perform ATP testing and accurately record and report results
Verify and document pre-operational inspections
Monitor and document product and facility temperatures
Maintain accurate food safety records, logs, and documentation
Ensure compliance with company SOPs, FDA regulations, and industry standards
Support internal audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives
Assist with employee food safety training when required
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
Basic knowledge of food safety principles (HACCP, GMPs, sanitation) preferred
Bilingual (English / Spanish) strongly preferred
Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Excel, Word, data entry)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Physical & Work Environment Requirements
Ability to walk production and warehouse areas daily
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. occasionally
Comfortable working in refrigerated environments (30–40°F)
Able to stand for extended periods as needed
