Job Description
This centrally based School is looking for a Chef Manager for Term-Time only. This would suit a Chef who would like to work School dates, who may have a young family, or someone who is looking to reduce their number of hours, they are currently working.
You must have worked and cooked in a similar kitchen, be able to manage a budget and all financial aspects along with staff.
Some knowledge or trained in Health & Safety a Food Hygiene.
Desirable Experience in school meals
Main Duties would include managing a team of existing staff, financial awareness.
Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, Customer Care, good communication skills. Cooking and presentation skills are also prerequisites.

Some managerial experience.
Be able to work to deadlines and times.
Organised and good customer care skills.
Passionate about cooking and serving good quality local produce.
Able to use a computer, but training can be given.
Current Enhanced DBS Certificate, or willing to have this check carried out.
Unique points to this job; Primary school location,School holidays, ,functions etc Term time only, hospitality, within school hours.
May need to work open evenings.
Number of students on site : 350
Services offered are breakfast, break, lunch, and hospitality
Qualifications Required : City & Guilds 706 / 1 and 706 / 2 or NVQ level 2 & 3
Hours of Work : 30 hours Monday to Friday. Term time only but would need to be flexible. This includes a half hour unpaid break
Rate of Pay : 11.00 per hour
