We are growing and seeking a highly motivated Outside Sales Representative to help us expand our reach, support our customers, and drive new business opportunities.
Position Summary
As an Outside Sales Representative, you will play a key role in identifying new business, supporting contractors and specifiers, and promoting Tnemec’s industry-leading coatings in a technical, hands-on sales environment. You’ll spend the majority of your time in the
field—building relationships, solving problems, and helping projects succeed.
Key Responsibilities
- Call on painting contractors, general contractors, architects, engineers, and facility owners
- Support and grow existing accounts through job-site visits, technical assistance, and product recommendations
- Generate new business by identifying prospects and conducting proactive outreach
- Conduct hands-on field support including job start-ups, troubleshooting, and site visits
- Lead training sessions and product demonstrations for contractor crews and specifier offices
- Track sales activity, report on opportunities, and manage the territory with independence
Qualifications
5+ years experience in coatings, construction, engineering, or related technical sales preferredExperience in high-performance coatings, estimating, or project management is a strong plusAbility to travel frequently within your territoryStrong communication and relationship-building skillsTechnically curious and mechanically inclined; you enjoy problem-solving in the fieldSelf-starter with a entrepreneurial growth mindset and a willingness to get hands-onSelf-motivated and able to work independently with limited oversightFamiliarity with using a CRM to communicate with the sales team and track projects and customer communicationWhy Join ACC?
