Storeroom Manager
Manage overall storeroom responsibilities (onsite), reporting to the Mill Procurement Manager. Inventory Optimization includes reorder points of stock, managing stock movement, managing obsolescence, working with parts on consignment and order on demand system, managing offsite inventory, processing new item adds, managing satellite inventory flow. Ensures correct parts are in stock for the maintenance of physical assets of the plant to support continued operation. Compare requisitions from vendors against established min / max limits and maintains inventory within established goals. Performs daily cycle counts and keeps accurate & timely receipts within the accounting system, by maintaining absolute value compliance and spot counts. Coordinates with vendors on repairs.
Generate savings through optimization of the storeroom / inventory management. Keeps the storeroom neat, orderly, and clean. Coordinates and works with the Maintenance Planner on kitting jobs / having parts available. Knowledge and work with reorder point purchasing. Be a back up to Purchasing Manager. Proactive in the pursuit and participation of continuous improvement projects and operational excellence. Maintain Storeroom security.
Previous inventory and storeroom experience preferred. Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, or equivalent experience preferred. Computer / Excel literate. Ability to climb stairs and ladders and lift up to 40 pounds unaided. Ability to accurately enter data into database and spreadsheets. Strong organizational skills and detail oriented. Ability to analyze data and generate reports.
