We are looking for an experienced CAD / CAM Programmer to integrate into a dynamic team at our facility. This position offers relocation assistance to those willing to join us in Santa Clarita, CA. In this role, you will work collaboratively with engineering, quality assurance, and manufacturing teams to create precise and efficient CNC programs for complex aerospace components.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop efficient and repeatable CNC programs for intricate aerospace parts.
- Operate 3-5 axis mills, lathes, and mill / turn machines, with particular proficiency in systems like Hermle, Doosan, and Okuma.
- Plan and oversee the manufacturing process from start to finish.
- Create and maintain detailed setup sheets, sketches, and manufacturing instructions.
- Design and implement high-quality fixtures and tooling for both new and ongoing projects.
- Work closely with machinists to facilitate efficient setups and first article inspections.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes through effective fixture design.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues related to programming, tooling, and technical matters.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for existing and new processes.
Required Qualifications :
Over 7 years of programming and machining experience.A high school diploma is required.Proficient in Siemens NX CAM, Hypermill or Mastercam.Organized and systematic in project management.Strong understanding of advanced CNC control functions (Heidenhain, Siemens, Fanuc).Excellent skills in blueprint reading, shop math, and GD&T.Familiar with industry-standard material and processing specifications.Expertise in cutter selection and modern manufacturing methodologies.Ability to maintain tight tolerances on high-value parts.Experience with exotic or high-temperature materials is a plus.Strong communication skills, along with proficiency in MS Office products.Experience in additive or 3D printing is desirable.Compensation :
