Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to join our team in Conyers. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care, ensuring smooth clinical operations, and supporting physicians with routine examinations and procedures. EPIC experience is strongly preferred, with a balanced focus on front and back office responsibilities. This role offers an initial 3-month contract with the possibility of permanent placement.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Graduate of an accredited Medical Assisting program
Certification or registration as a Medical Assistant (CPR certification required)
EPIC EMR experience strongly preferred
At least one year of medical assisting experience
Proficiency in medical terminology and basic computer skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Attention to detail

Responsibilities

Greet patients and manage patient flow to ensure efficient clinic operations

Escort patients to discharge and assist with patient check-out

Obtain patient histories, assess / triage, and record vital signs accurately

Explain treatment procedures and prepare patients and exam rooms for examinations

Position instruments and assist physicians during procedures

Clean, sterilize, and maintain medical instruments and equipment after use

Complete medical charts with services, test results, and supplies used

Conduct patient call-backs, coordinate referrals, testing, and follow-up scheduling

Support registration staff and perform clerical duties as needed
