Job Description :
The Project Superintendent will be responsible to plan and lead all activities occurring on large construction sites and work with the Project Manager for coordination of activities, scheduling, planning and material procurement. The position requires collaboration with subcontractors, suppliers, design teams, clients, and team members to properly plan and execute project activities to ensure delivery of a successful project to our clients. Effective collaboration with Project Managers is essential to the role. Travel throughout the Capital Region is to be expected. Travel throughout New York State will sometimes be required and is based on a project-by-project basis.
Requirements & Qualifications :
- 5+ years of field supervision experience in general construction or construction management.
- Commercial construction experience on projects ranging from at least $1,000,000 - $20,000,000.
- Strong communication and verbal skills.
- Strong negotiating skills.
- Strong organizational and prioritizing skills for coordinating multiple trades, personnel, and suppliers simultaneously.
- Strong construction technical skills and knowledge for building structural, architectural and MEP systems.
- Strong financial skills and awareness to maintain budgets.
- Experience with scheduling.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, Word, Raken or similar Daily Report tools and Procore or similar project management software.
- Ability to work in person at jobsites.
- College degree preferred but not required if experience is adequate.
- OSHA 10hr required, 30hr preferred.
- Additional training or development for highly motivated individuals can be provided.
