About Lakewood Regional Support
Our regional support center provides resources to our hotels for multiple areas including Human Resources, Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Security, Group Reservations, Guest Contact Center, Information Technology, Laundry, and Communications.
Responsible within a multi-hotel "Security Zone" for management of all security functions and staff to ensure the safety and security of guests, employees, and property at Loews Hotels at Universal Orlando. This includes controlling access, conducting physical inspections, monitoring surveillance cameras, investigating security breaches, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Job Duties
Serve as the primary security point of contact within an assigned multi-hotel Security Zone, handling staff training, communication, meetings, and liaising with the Hotel Managing Director.Direct the security staff shift assigned to the specific Security Zone.Conduct employee hiring interviews, coaching, counseling, and make recommendations for termination when appropriate.Manage shift schedules and supervise activities of security personnel including Security Office, Employee Entrance, and Patrol Officers.Perform security department training activities.Understand and assist in coordinating hotel emergency response procedures.Oversee access control activities, visitor logs, and package inspections at employee entrances.Monitor CCTV, radio communications, and fire control systems.Document security issues and incidents in reports.Oversee lost and found activities and enforce hotel rules and key control policies.Interact courteously and professionally with guests and staff, responding to incidents and investigating breaches or accidents.Gather evidence, examine incident scenes, and assist in investigations, including lock interrogation operations.Assist in safety and security inspections and collaborate with the Risk Manager on loss prevention.Complete daily reports and operate departmental vehicles as needed.Support other hotel functions such as distributing paychecks and maintaining documentation for storeroom entries.Follow all safety, security, and hotel policies, including uniform and grooming standards.Qualifications
Associates Degree or equivalent preferred.Excellent observation, communication, guest service, and report writing skills.Minimum three years of security supervisory experience in a large hotel environment.CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain.Fluent in English, with the ability to read and write effectively.Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.J-18808-Ljbffr
