We're looking for an organized, detail-oriented, and experienced paralegal to play an important role on our legal team. You'll draft legal documents such as motions, prepare trial notebooks and exhibit binders, conduct legal research, communicate with clients, manage cases, draft discovery responses and requests, and keep case files and other important information neatly organized and easily accessible.

Compensation :

$50,000 - $60,000 yearly

Responsibilities :

  • Assist lawyers in preparing legal documentation, pleadings, and correspondence including correspondence such as interrogatories, subpoenas, deposition notices, complaints, pretrial orders, legal briefs, and affidavits
  • Aid lawyers in trial preparation by preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, conducting research on legal articles, and assisting with client meetings and filing motions
  • Perform administrative duties such as answering phone calls and keeping our case filing system organized so all documents are readily accessible
  • Conduct interviews with clients to gather information about their legal issues
  • Draft subpoenas and coordinate with process servers
  • Manage heavy caseload
  • Support attorneys in court proceedings and mediation
  • Manage case from inception to conclusion
  • Conducting legal research

Qualifications :

  • 3 years of experience in legal services under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting
  • Excellent organizational skills, and time-management skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Experience managing a heavy caseload
  • Experience with using case management and billing systems
  • Proficient with Microsoft office suites
  • Experience using technology, software, applications
  • Experience researching and pulling case law
