The Principal Firmware / Hardware Engineer at Kardiogenics will play a critical and exclusive role in the full lifecycle of our hardware products.

This is a unique opportunity for a highly skilled and dedicated engineer to lead, design, develop, and oversee all aspects of firmware and hardware components for our medical devices.

Key Responsibilities :

• Complete Ownership of Hardware Development : Design, develop, test, and optimize firmware and hardware components, being solely responsible for all hardware-related activities within the company.
• Strategic Leadership : Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to align hardware development with organizational goals and product strategy.
• Compliance & Certification : Ensure all firmware and hardware designs comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements, including FDA, Military and lead the process for relevant certifications.
• Innovation & Continuous Improvement : Drive innovation through research and application of cutting-edge technologies to enhance product performance and reliability.
• Vendor Management : Manage relationships with suppliers and external partners, ensuring quality and timely delivery of components.
• Mentorship & Collaboration : Provide guidance and technical leadership to other team members, fostering collaboration across departments.
• Documentation & Reporting : Maintain comprehensive documentation of designs, specifications, validation procedures, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

Qualifications :

• Education : Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience : Minimum of 10 years of experience in firmware and hardware engineering, preferably in the medical device industry.

Experience with Military standards is plus.

• Technical Skills :
• Expertise in embedded C / C++ programming.
• Mastery of hardware design and simulation tools.
• In-depth understanding of medical device regulations.
• Leadership & Ownership : Proven ability to lead complex projects independently, taking full ownership of all hardware development aspects.
• Communication : Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Problem-Solving : Outstanding analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
