Your work environment at EXP

In this role, you will be a part of the Infrastructure & Transportation Practice that is primarily focused on multi-modal transportation and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will work in the Chicago office following our current hybrid work protocols and report to the Civil Department Manager. We would consider a candidate who wanted to work out of Our Madison, St. Louis or Milwaukee offices. The candidate will report to the Civil Department Manager. You will act as a member of the infrastructure team and will get an opportunity to work on a wide range of projects involving roadway, bridge, aviation, transit and rail across the Midwest.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

• Perform and lead engineering design tasks for infrastructure projects at any phase from conceptual to final design.
• Develop plans, specifications, reports and technical studies, calculate quantities, and develop cost estimates.
• Possess excellent in-depth knowledge of civil design software tools including Bentley's MicroStation Connect and OpenRoads Designer CAD platforms.
• Mentor and develop new engineers in infrastructure planning and design.
• Lead and coordinate design activities between staff, subcontractors, and clients
• Perform technical analyses and reviews of infrastructure projects.
• Support Project Managers / Project Engineers to ensure projects meet the defined schedules, budget, and quality standards. This may include assisting in the development of Project Management Plans, Scopes of Work, Cost Estimates, and other project planning related activities.
• Assists in preparing and developing proposals, and presentations as needed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

What your experience looks like

The salary range for this role is $135,000 to $185,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's skill set, experience, certifications, and geographic location. Compensation may vary by location due to differences in the cost of labor.
