Salary : Position Summary :
The Production Administrator provides essential administrative support to the Production Department at Tecnico Corporations San Diego operations. This position assists with time reporting, workforce coordination, customer and internal correspondence, and document control. The administrator plays a critical role in managing employee access to naval facilities and in processing Conditions Found Reports (CFRs), ensuring production records and communications are organized, accurate, and timely.
Key Responsibilities :
Timekeeping & Labor Support
- Assist with daily and weekly timecard collection, review, and submission in compliance with company policies.
- Support supervisors and foremen in identifying and correcting timekeeping issues.
- Maintain updated labor rosters and crew assignments across multiple projects.
Customer & Internal Correspondence
Draft and distribute internal communications to production teams, including memos, scheduling changes, and procedural notices.Support the preparation and formatting of formal correspondence to government and commercial customers, including documentation associated with job progress, access, and schedule impacts.Maintain logs and filing systems for production-related correspondence.Assist in the generation, formatting, and submission of CFRs in coordination with PMT and QA staff.Track the status of submitted CFRs and maintain proper documentation for reference and audit purposes.Ship's Access Coordination
Submit and track base and ship access requests for production personnel in accordance with Navy or customer security protocols.Coordinate with security offices and customers to ensure timely processing of access credentials.Maintain up-to-date records of individual access approvals and expiration dates.Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalent required; associates degree or higher preferred.2+ years of experience in administrative support, preferably in a ship repair, manufacturing, or industrial setting.Experience with base / ship access procedures, especially in support of DoD or U.S. Navy work, strongly preferred.Knowledge of production documentation processes, including CFRs and workforce time reporting.Strong written and verbal communication skills.High attention to detail, with a commitment to maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); familiarity with Workday or other timekeeping software is a plus.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
