Escrow Closer (2 yrs exp req)

Our escrow officer performs advanced duties related to all facets of escrow processing and closing. S / He is required to exercise extreme independent judgment and to possess the knowledge and experience necessary to efficiently handle any situation that may arise during the escrow process. This position must have an established book of business or be able to establish a book of business within a reasonable amount of time to meet given performance standards.

• DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manages and processes all escrow files of the escrow unit
• Supervises members of the escrow unit
• Delegates appropriate duties to other members of the escrow unit
• Requests all documents needed to close each escrow file in a timely manner (i.e., payoffs, loan documents, HOA fees, etc.)
• Reviews transfer deeds, title commitments, loan documents, and other closing documents.
• Works with the title department in resolving issues (e.g., legal descriptions, easements, lot splits, vesting, federal tax liens, judgment, bankruptcies, and encroachments)
• Follows company standards and practices when processing transactions, as well as applicable state laws and regulations and underwriter guidelines
• Coordinates the closing of escrow files with the Buyer, Seller and their representatives, if any
• Returns all calls, voicemails, and emails in a timely manner
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor

• QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum of 2 years of escrow experience.
• A high school diploma.
• Must be or become a Notary Public.
• Must be or become a licensed title insurance producer with State of Missouri.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Understands escrow standards, title clearance, real estate regulations and guidelines, and document preparation.
• Comprehends pay off per diems, tax prorations, interest, and the like.
