Are you passionate about precision and quality? This is your chance to step into a rewarding role with Staffmark. We're seeking a Quality Control Technician to join our Houston, TX team.

Hours & Pay

Shift : 6 AM - 2 : 30 PM, Monday-Friday

Pay Rate : $17 - $18 per hour

What You'll Do

In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining world-class quality standards by :

  • Performing incoming, in-process, and final product inspections following defined procedures.
  • Documenting inspection results and accurately maintaining quality records.
  • Identifying, reporting, and assisting in resolving non-conformances.
  • Reviewing certifications and documentation for received components and addressing discrepancies.
  • Supporting calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment.
  • Collaborating with production, engineering, customer service, and planning teams to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Contributing to process improvement, methodology development, and equipment optimization.

What We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you'll need :

  • A high school diploma with 2+ years of quality control experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
  • Basic understanding of SPC (Statistical Process Control) and quality sampling plans.
  • Experience with root cause analysis and corrective actions (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone).
  • Competency with Microsoft Office or similar software for reporting and documentation.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and communication skills.
  • Ability to stand and sit for extended periods, lift up to 40 lbs., and perform detailed inspection work.
