Job Summary

Zachry Construction is seeking a GPS Motor Grader Operator for our heavy civil project. The job will start mid-January, and it is required to complete an OSHA 10 certification before your start date. Zachry Construction will coordinate and pay for you to get this certification if you do not already have one. Hires will be required to work six days a week and wear a long sleeve shirt and steel toe boots while working on this project. Only local candidates will be considered.

Essential Functions

• Three plus years of industry-related experience is required for this position, emphasizing roads, highways, and bridges
• Conduct Pre-start Visual Walk-around inspection
• Utilize automatic grade control system / GPS, where applicable
• Notify the supervisor if equipment needs service / repair
• Monitor all engine gauges
• Operate Motor Grader, utilizing hand and foot controls
• Scrap, shape, blade, and level for various grades
• Operate to fine-grade specifications, including shoulders and slopes
• Read, interpret, and execute plan requirements and grade standards
• Understand production and quantity requirements
• Perform incidental work items and duties included within other crafts
