Regional Business Office Manager
The Carmelite System is a multi-state, not-for-profit senior living organization sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged & Infirm operating a network of Skilled Nursing Facilities and Assisted Living / Independent Living communities.
We are seeking to hire Regional Business Office Managers.
- This corporate level position is fully remote while requiring consistent travel .
- Your choice of two regions : New York and Massachusetts or Florida, Kentucky, Ohio, Illinois and Iowa.
- $85K to $110K based on skills and experience.
Regional Business Office Manager Introduction : This leadership role is responsible for the financial integrity and standardization of the revenue cycle across a designated region of Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs). The RBOM provides direct oversight, training, and operational support to facility Business Office Managers (BOMs), ensuring adherence to corporate policy, regulatory compliance, and best practices in financial counseling, census management, Medicaid processing, and resident trust administration.
Regional Business Office Manager Qualifications :
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in business office management.2 years in a multi-site or supervisory role within a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long-Term Care (LTC) setting.Proven leadership ability with experience in training, mentoring, and managing remote staff.Expert proficiency and ability to train others in the use of PointClickCare (PCC) , particularly in Census Management, Payer Tree configuration, and Collections modules.Deep knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, Managed Care, and Resident Trust compliance regulations.Strong analytical skills for identifying and resolving systemic revenue cycle challenges and trends across multiple sites.Ability to travel frequently within the assigned region.Regional Business Office Manager Job Summary :
Ownership of the financial performance metrics for all buildings within the region, drive improvements in collection percentages, AR aging, and audit compliance results.Train, mentor, and evaluate the performance of all facility Business Office Managers (BOMs) within the assigned region.Develop, implement, and enforce standardized revenue cycle policies and procedures across all facilities to ensure consistency and compliance with state and federal regulations.Participate in facility Triple Check Meetings to validate documentation, coding, and billing integrity prior to claim submission, acting as a final compliance checkpoint for the region.Conduct regular, proactive audits of facility-level Payer Tree construction and census data in PointClickCare (PCC).Monitor facility AR reports and collection efforts, providing BOMs with strategies and support to resolve aging balances and prevent bad debt.Systematically monitor eligibility verification processes (including monthly Medicaid checks ) and mandate frequent audits of PPA / NAMI changes.Develop and provide continuous training to BOMs on effective financial counseling for new admissions, ensuring clear communication of benefits, co-payments, and deductibles for all Managed Care and secondary plans .Develop and audit the standardized workflow for Medicaid application tracking, including the timely application for Representative Payee and the accurate input of estimated PPA in PCC.Conduct periodic, unannounced audits of facility Resident Trust operations.This is a brief overview of job responsibilities and not intended to be all inclusive.
