The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing accurate and clear diagnostic imaging examinations, ensuring all safety protocols are continuously enforced and adhered to. The hired candidate for this position will receive a $5000 sign-on bonus.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic X-ray examinations in accordance with established protocols, ensuring high-quality images for accurate physician interpretation.
- Prepare and position patients for radiologic procedures; ensuring comfort, accuracy, and safety throughout the process.
- Protect yourself, staff, and patients from unnecessary radiation exposure by strictly adhering to all radiation safety standards and protective measures.
- Set up, operate, and maintain radiographic equipment used in medical diagnosis and / or treatment.
- Select and adjust proper exposure techniques and radiographic controls to achieve optimal image quality.
- Review images for clarity and diagnostic value.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and quality control checks.
- Sanitize and maintain radiographic equipment.
- Accurately document all patient records and daily logbooks.
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to successfully execute imaging orders.
- Apply and / or remove splints as needed.
- Maintain appropriate inventory of radiographic and medical supplies.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree in radiology required.Active ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required.Active CPR certification required.Prior work experience as a Radiologic Technologist preferred but not required.Working knowledge of EPIC preferred.Knowledge in splinting preferred.
