Budget Analyst Position

To manage and conserve the natural and cultural resources of Texas and to provide hunting, fishing and outdoor recreation opportunities for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations.

General Description

Under the direction of the Recreation Grants Branch Fiscal Manager, this position is responsible for moderately complex (journey-level) Budget Analyst II or highly complex (senior-level) Budget Analyst III preparation, maintenance, operation, and analysis of budget and financial operations for the Recreation Grants Branch of the State Parks Division. This position will be involved with the salary, operating, grant, capital, Full-Time Equivalencies, reporting of the Branch. Duties also include providing budgetary support and technical assistance to Branch, Division, Agency staff. Performs additional duties as assigned. Complies with all Agency, Division, and Branch rules, regulations, and procedures.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications :

• Education : Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelors degree.
• Experience : Budget Analyst II : Two years of experience in accounting or financial operations to include budget or closely related field; Budget Analyst III : Three years of experience in accounting or financial operations to include budget or closely related field working for a State of Texas Agency or Commission or closely related sector.
• Licensure : Applicant must possess or be able to obtain and hold within 30 days of employment, a Texas class C drivers license.
