Join our team as an experienced IV Pharmacy Technician, ensuring seamless medication delivery to long term care facilities. Our IV Pharmacy Technicians will assist pharmacists in preparing sterile admixtures and compounding IV solutions while following 797 USP Standards. Our IV Technicians play a critical role in maintaining cleanroom standards, managing inventory and handling documentation.
Location : On site at our closed door, Southborough, MA, pharmacy
Salary : starts at $26 / hr (contingent with experience)
Reports to : IV Supervisor
Available Schedules : Monday - Friday 3 : 00 pm - 11 : 30 pm (every 3rd Weekend 10 : 00am – 6 : 30pm)

Key Responsibilities :
Perform sanitation and maintenance of the cleanroom area and infusion equipment according to 797 USP StandardsCompounds sterile admixtures and non-admixtures, including but not limited to parenteral nutrition, antibiotics, hydration, using aseptic techniquePrepares labels, prescription, compounding / mixing worksheets and completes and maintains product lot numbers and expiration dates. Generates delivery / pick slips under the supervision of the pharmacist. Picks and prepares suppliesTakes inventory, places orders, checks in medications and supplies, stocks IV shelves and removes out-of-date items from inventoryRecords and maintains refrigerator temperature logsUses good documentation practicesAssists Pharmacists and calls facilities for IV order questionsResponsible for cleaning and maintaining IV pumps and the IV pump informationMust adhere to Clarest’s Code of Conduct, follow Clarest Compliance policies and procedures, and report any suspected violations of any federal or state laws to either their direct supervisor, Human Resources or the Compliance OfficerQualifications :
High school diploma or GED is requiredNational Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB / ExCPT) required (must be in good standing)Pharmacy Technician License in MA is required (must be in good standing)1-2 years’ experience in compounding as an IV TechnicianFramework experience is a plusSkills + Abilities :
