Responsibilities
Process semi-monthly payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees across multiple states using ADP Workforce Now integrated with Deltek Costpoint.
Reconcile payroll transactions to ensure proper labor distribution, contract compliance, and cost center accuracy in accordance with government contracting roles.
Prepare, review, and submit payroll-related reports and filings including quarterly / annual tax forms, W-2s, and government-specific payroll documentation.
Maintain compliance with payroll regulations at federal, state, and local levels.
Collaborate with HR and Accounting to ensure payroll data accuracy, benefits integration, and compliance with company policies.
Respond to payroll-related inquiries, resolve discrepancies, and serve as the primary payroll information resource to the organization.
Support audits by compiling relevant payroll documents and records for review.
Drive process improvement initiatives related to payroll operations and participate in system upgrades.
Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality and integrity in managing sensitive employee and company data.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
At least six (6) years of payroll experience, with a minimum of four (4) years directly within government contracting.
Advanced skill in ADP Workforce Now and Deltek Costpoint payroll modules.
Familiarity with multi-state payroll processing and DCAA / FAR contracting requirements.
Exceptional detail orientation, organizational, time management, and analytical skills.
Ability to communicate professionally and maintain effective confidentiality at all times.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and payroll reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC).
Experience with payroll-related accounting entries and reconciliations.
Previous experience supporting payroll audits and process improvements.
