Scheck Hillel Community School , a private school located in North Miami Beach, Florida, has an opening for an experienced full-time Elementary General Studies Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year.

Responsibilities
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and engages students while supporting a cohesive and effective curriculum
- Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning and meet the needs of all learners
- Communicate clear learning targets and success criteria to students for all activities
- Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment
- Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction
- Develop formative and summative assessments in accordance with established procedures
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
- Manage student behavior to facilitate learning and maintain classroom discipline
- Maintain accurate and complete records of students\' progress as required by laws and school policies
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding academic progress and behavior
- Ensure the safety and security of students in classroom and common areas
- Supervise students during school functions such as field trips and assemblies
- Attend parent-teacher conferences, back-to-school nights, faculty meetings, and substitute in one class per week as needed
- Support carpool and dismissal procedures as part of the team
- Stay up-to-date on current educational trends and research to continually improve teaching practices
Qualifications
