Salary : $20-25 per hour
Entry to mid-level position : (Will train the right candidate with electronics / technical knowledge and proven training)
The Fleet Technology & Electronics Technician will be responsible for maintaining the health of our fleet.
This will require the candidate to be organized, familiarity in the use of electronics and software applications, and effective when communicating with vendors and internal field personal.
Specific job duties include, but are not limited to the following :
- Diagnose, install, and update the various electronics systems utilized in our fleet. This includes but is not limited to GPS, digital mobile radio, Electronic Driver Vehicle Inspection Reporting, Electronic Driver Log Devices and camera systems.
- Identify and offer technology related, solution-based recommendations to solve driver's automated needs.
- Diagnose technology issues through various troubleshooting activities including the use of specialty software
- Establishes and maintains consistent, timely followup and ensures deliverables are met or exceeded, ensures consistent and accurate documentation of requests and repairs
Requirements :
- 2) years demonstrated learning and / or experience assessing, troubleshooting, and performing preventive and corrective maintenance for the alignment, adjustment, removal, and replacement of electronics equipment.
- Experience actively using and learning about electronics
- Strong ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Effectively communicate with vendors and field employees.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of holidays, nights and weekends
- Selected applicant must be proficient with personal computers and have basic familiarity with operational and maintenance systems
- Passionate about technology and can leverage their technical abilities to solve a variety of software and hardware issues in data collection vehicles.
