Job descriptionMUST BE FULLY VACCINATED 12 core unit classes with a grade of C or better are required (child development, child-family-community, curriculum) Work experience in a licensed childcare facility as a teacher Pleasant / friendly demeanor and an outgoing personality Must meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency (Title 22), including immunization, health screening, fingerprinting, and background check Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. for child safety and emergencies Supervise and manage daily classroom functions Assess each child's developmental needs regularly Create an attractive, well-kept classroom environment that encourages creativity, exploration, and decision-making Keep classroom bulletin boards current and communicate with parents about classroom activities Maintain cleanliness and safety of classroom, common areas, and playgrounds Assist with snacks, meals, naptime, and bathroom activities Attend staff meetings, workshops, and school functions as required Follow health, safety, and care regulations for children Maintain professional appearance and behavior Implement lesson plans using the Primrose curriculum Coordinate parent-teacher conferences and student evaluations with the Director Perform other duties as assigned Use iPad to log children's activities, incident reports, and messages to parents
