Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Technician (LVT) to join our dynamic team.
**WE ARE OFFERING A SIGNING BONUS OF $1500 FOR THIS ROLE!**Position Summary:The
Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Technician (LVT) plays a vital role in delivering high-quality, compassionate care to all GCVS patients within the Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation service. This position requires a dependable, motivated individual with strong multitasking abilities who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. The ideal candidate will support veterinarians and clinicians in providing advanced therapeutic treatments, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a smooth and efficient workflow throughout the department.
Compensation:- $18-$24+/ hr, compensation based on:Critical skillsetExperience levels

Schedule:- Full Time Tuesday – Friday8am – 6pmNo weekends or holidays required
Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- TransportationTransport animals to and from other areas of GCVS, including ambulatory and non-ambulatory patients
- Equipment and House KeepingBasic mechanical understanding to facilitate routine maintenance of Rehab EquipmentAssist in general maintenance of equipment and clinic, including needs specific to the underwater treadmill: daily water quality checks and chemical additions as needed, weekly draining/refilling of water storage tankComplete routine cleaning of rehab clinic as needed to maintain a safe and clean work environment, including animal excrement and mopping wet floorsUse cleaning materials and equipment with skill and efficiencyAssist in maintenance and basic repairs of Rehabilitation equipmentStocking and cleaning the Rehab clinic as neededClean/dry/fold laundry (primarily towels and pillow cases) for the clinic’s useWashing dishesGeneral Janitorial Duties as assignedComplete routine cleaning of rehab clinic as needed to maintain a safe and clean work environment, including animal excrement and mopping wet floorsMoving of boxes, equipment or furniture as neededComplete daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning lists as assigned
- RestraintRestraint of canines and felines for therapy treatments while keeping yourself and others around you safe. Able to lift 100 pounds from floor to waist height infrequently, 25-50 pounds frequently with particular emphasis on canines. Handle and lift animals to provide therapy treatments.
- ClericalTyping on a computer keyboardDocumenting client communications, treatments and patient responses in the patient records using correct medical terminology legibly in patient records.Performing general function of the phone system
- HusbandryMonitor all alerts as indicated by the veterinarianMonitor patients receiving treatments for any adverse or unusual reactions, bringing any issues to the attention of the supervising therapistUnderstand and carry out oral and written instructions for treatment plans and interventionsSupervise animals staying in the Rehabilitation kennels and provide basic care as needed, including walking dogs outside to void, cleaning runs and cages, feeding dogs, and monitoring for problemsWalking boarders and stable patients at their designated timesGeneral Animal Husbandry Duties as assignedCleaning kennels and cages as patients leave the hospitalMaintain cleanliness and disinfection in all runs and kennels
Who We’re Looking For:- Required: High School diploma or equivalent
- Preferred: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in veterinary technology is preferred
- LVT license required
- CCRT Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist (preferred, not required)
- Previous experience as a veterinary technician, ideally in rehabilitation or sports medicine
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-stress environment
- Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role; fluency in multiple languages a plus!
