The Multifamily Analyst / Underwriter will perform in-depth financial analysis to evaluate multifamily assets. The financial analyst will provide financial and analytical support services, which will include preparing proposals / broker opinions of value, data input, underwriting property values, performing market research, analyzing comparable properties and sales trends, and preparing financial analysis for presentation to clients. The role will have a strong focus on quantitative analysis and financial modeling matched with practical business application.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Analyze, underwrite, and forecast property cash flows and valuations using Excel spreadsheet analysis
- Develop and maintain sophisticated financial underwriting models for commercial real estate asset valuation
- Breakdown and analyze profit and loss statements, rent rolls, etc.
- May occasionally present and support analyses to clients
- Review industry surveys, benchmarks, and economic and demographic trends
- Actively assist in the research, writing, and proofing of market intelligence for marketing materials
- Assist with preparing and presenting the analysis, including graphics and charts, in a clear and concise manner
- Audit OMs and BOVs to make sure financial information is accurate prior to distribution to client
- Create and execute a broker financial underwriting training several times throughout the fiscal year
- Update and maintain sales comparables for focus markets utilizing multiple data services
- Organize and present data analysis, draw objective conclusions, and make recommendations as necessary

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
Must have a bachelors degree in real estate, Finance, Accounting, or Business AdministrationAt least 1-3 years of analytical, quantitative, research, and technical skills in evaluating multi-tenant commercial real estate assetsHigh-level experience working with ExcelMust have excellent organizational, writing, and communication skillsPREFERRED REQUIREMENTS :
