Job description :
As an Air Import Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the smooth importation process of goods, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with regulatory requirements. Your responsibilities will encompass various aspects of import operations, from file management to client communication and problem resolution.
Key Responsibilities :
- Open files for each shipment on the dedicated software system, ensuring accuracy and completeness of documentation.
- Negotiate with domestic customers to address any issues or concerns, striving for mutually beneficial resolutions.
- Verify arrival information and liaise with customs brokers to facilitate seamless clearance of shipments.
- Collaborate with trucking companies to coordinate the timely delivery of freight, ensuring efficient logistics operations.
- Prepare comprehensive reports of transactions to support accurate billing of customers.
- Monitor and communicate any shipment delays or documentation issues to clients and overseas agent(s), proactively managing expectations.
- Provide support to colleagues, supervisors, and department managers as needed, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications :
1 to 4 years' experience in freight forwarding, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of the logistics industry.Effective interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to listen attentively, comprehend complex information, and communicate clearly and concisely.Proactive approach to work, coupled with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer skills, with the ability to adapt to new software systems.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, essential for effective client interaction and internal collaboration.Experience with Cargowise software is advantageous.Benefits :
