We are a leading commercial general contractor with a strong footprint across Arizona and the Southwest, specializing in municipal, K12, higher-education, public safety, and institutional construction. Our projects include schools, campus expansions, police and fire stations, civic buildings, administrative facilities, and large-scale commercial structures. We have multiple new projects launching in the Phoenix metro area and are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee full-lifecycle delivery.
Position Summary
The Project Manager will lead all phases of complex commercial construction projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards expected by public-sector and education clients. This role requires excellent communication, strong financial and scheduling capabilities, and the ability to manage subcontractors, designers, engineers, and field teams while maintaining strict contract and documentation compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead municipal, education, and institutional projects from preconstruction through turnover.
- Partner with the Superintendent to align field operations, logistics, and project milestones.
- Develop and maintain detailed project budgets, forecasts, cost reports, and risk analyses.
- Manage subcontractor procurement, buyout, and contract administration following public-sector requirements.
- Conduct and lead all OAC meetings, ensuring clear and transparent communication with stakeholders.
- Review drawings, specs, and submittals for full scope compliance.
- Oversee RFIs, change orders, pay apps, and all project documentation using Procore (or similar).
- Manage project schedules in Primavera or MS Project; identify critical activities and drive timely delivery.
- Uphold safety standards in compliance with OSHA, company policies, and Arizona regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with accounting and leadership teams for billing, cash flow, and WIP reporting.
- Ensure ADA / accessibility code compliance throughout construction.
- Oversee project closeout, commissioning, punch lists, owner training, and warranty follow-up.
Qualifications
7+ years of commercial construction experience, including at least 3 years as a Project Manager on municipal, education, or institutional projects ($30M$60M+).Proven experience delivering K12, higher-ed, municipal, civic, or public safety facilities.Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred.Strong financial, contractual, and scheduling skills.Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project / Primavera.Experience with Arizona public procurement (CMAR, Hard Bid, JOC, DBB) is a strong advantage.Strong leadership and communication abilities.Phoenix / Arizona market experience highly preferred.Ability to start immediately and commit through project completion.
