Position Description

This is an entry-level to mid-level accounting position that will help provide accounting support for the Grenada, MS and the U.S. Coatings facilities. The analyst will process journal entries, help in month-end closing, and perform other duties necessary to ensure timely completion of the month-end close processes. This individual will also perform account reconciliations. The position will help the analyst develop a proficiency in a number of different accounting responsibilities and duties in a manufacturing environment during the first few years.

Key Responsibilities

• Record monthly journal entries to ensure they are accurately reflected in the income statement and balance sheet in a timely manner.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities and processes.
• Help provide internal and external audit support as required.
• Comply with relevant Financial Standard Practices (FSPs), policies and procedures.
• Support plant accounting activities as needed.
• Prepare balance sheet analyses and account reconciliations.
• Help with plant physical inventory counts and reconciliations.
• Become familiar with the 80 / 20 operating model.
• Complete other tasks as assigned.
