About The Position
Position Description
- We are excited to offer an excellent opportunity for an experienced full-time Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to take on a leadership role in a brand-new, 10-bed LDRP Level I Nursery at CaroMont Regional Medical Center–Belmont, scheduled to open in late 2024.
- Key Highlights :
- Brand new Level I nursery with anticipated 600 deliveries annually
- Average daily census : ~5 newborns
- Schedule : 24-hour shifts (in-house rounding during the day, home call overnight)
- Responsibilities include :
- Daily rounds on newborns
- Attending deliveries when requested
- Stabilizing, managing, and coordinating transport of newborns requiring higher-level NICU care
- Team Structure :
- Belmont : 4 NNPs
- Sister Level III NICU in Gastonia : 2 Neonatologists + 5–6 NNPs
- Optional supplemental PRN shifts at the Gastonia Level III NICU (7 miles away)
- Excellent location :
- 15 miles from Uptown Charlotte
- 8 miles from Charlotte Douglas International Airport (non-stop flights to 180+ destinations)
