VHS is looking for a qualified Nurse Practitioner - Neonatology.

Description : We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced full-time Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to play a leadership role in a brand new 10-bed LDRP Level-I Nursery at CaroMont Regional Medical Center-Belmont which is scheduled to open late 2024. IDEAL NNP OPPORTUNITY!
Job Description :
This Level 1 unit will have an anticipated 600 deliveries a yearAn average daily census of about 5 newborns24-hour shifts : rounding on newborns in-house during the day and then take call from home
NNPs will be responsible for daily rounds on newborns attending deliveries when requested and will take call from homePractitioners would also stabilize manage and facilitate transport of newborns to adjacent NICUs in Charlotte or Gastonia for newborns needing higher level care
The Belmont team will consist of 4 NNPs with the sister LEVEL III NICU staffed by 2 Neonatologists and 5-6 NNPs who provide care at CaroMont Regional Medical Center- Gastonia which is only 7 miles awayOpportunities to do supplemental PRN shifts at the level III NICU in Gastonia may be possible but would not be required as this position is for the Level 1 nursery.Belmont Medical Center is located just 15 miles from uptown Charlotte and 8 miles from Charlotte Douglas International Airport which has non-stop flights to over 180 destinationsCaroMont Health has been recognized with numerous awards including being named one of Thomson Reuters’ Top 100 HospitalCandidates must be NNP Board Certified cannot accept FNP PNP or any other NP certificationsNot accepting new graduate candidates - CURRENT 2 years of employment experience as NNP not including RN experience is requiredNot accepting Locums candidatesCompensation and Benefits :
